Ah-ha-ha! I love the little scrub brush person with the mop legs. Sweet!
I love your blog. At least in 1955 it feels more modern than some of mrs. beetons scenarios. (im living a year in 1955 by the bye). I wonder if I could get some of this cleanser and if they used it in 1955? Right now I am stuck with comet cleaner a sponge, old fashioned mop and wringer bucket, and a scrub brush.
well, according to a quick google... "The Goldsmith family originally established the renowned Gumption Brand in 1924." therefore making it definitely in you time period... not sure if it';s only an Australian thing though
